it must be love...

I just came across this picture on theyallhateus (the ultimate website for photo porn) and have just had an epiphany...this is exactly how I would like to display my clothing.

So simple, elegant, neat and eyecatching...i love the rawness of the hooks and the flow of the ropes.

I will, of course, have to wait til i have a home of my own to decorate...and, as my boyfriend pointed out, a display-worthy set of clothing to display

But I can just picture it all working!

in case you're feeling a little bleu

In my opinion, Melbourne can not be beaten when it comes to shopping (though I'm road testing our arch nemesis Sydney next week- details to follow).

Simply, the selection of stores means the widest and most comprehensive ranges of all the best aussie and international labels are on offer.

And last week I came across my latest obsession, Paloma Bleu boutique in Albert Park; nestled amongst the Bridport st cafes and BMWs, this high-ceiling, sleek-lined store is out to impress.

I was delighted to find the latest by Lover (most stores get such minimal stock it barely seems worth it), kiwi Karen Walker, the over-sized styles of Nicole Ritchie House of Harlow and delicous cashmere of Banjo and Matilda.

The Argentinian espadrilles are so adorable, i can tell i'll be scuffing around in them all summer

They have also just received the amazing Bec and Bridge Akubra fedoras...now to just choose which colour...

getting the snip

this week I cut off my hair...not super short, but definitely a difference to the belly button-grazing mop i had been sporting for a couple of years!

and it's amazing the difference it makes when it comes to not only styling your hair, but also to styling your clothes...things dont quite look the same

so i've definitely needed some same-length inspiration!

Paper of a different kind...

With my current financial state indulging in pleasures such as the Acne store have to take a decidedly different form.

On my last visit to this sleek Scandinavian haven I picked up a copy of the latest Acne Paper; a copy dedicated to Youth, it features some beautiful images of young artists and delicate ballerinas, as well as a wide selection of original.

And now it makes a lovely centrepiece on my coffee table!

Bali is bangin'!

Bali is a country very close to my heart, and with each new trip it is amazing to see how quickly this small island is becoming a mecca for shopping, dining and spa-ing.

I'm very lucky that I have people in my family who are as passionate about it as well and are willing to explore new areas and shops I have found on the internet, when I can't make it there myself.

My parents spent 2 blissful weeks there recently and I sent mum to find a small little jewellery shop, which I found while browsing the Sunday Collector blog.

Jewel Rocks in Seminyak lends perfectly to my recent affinity for petite jewellery (a complete 180 from my chunky obsession of the past couple of years), and mum was kind enough to pick me up a couple of beautiful bracelets there.

...other bali finds to come in upcoming posts!...

Spring has arrived!

The buyers at mychameleon.com.au have exquisite taste, stocking the likes of Australian label Benah and shoes to die for from Colombian duo Dieppa Restrepo.

I think the pure simplicity of the Kodi mini chain shoulder bag by Benah, paired with the exquisite colour, makes this a 'forever bag' that I would get so much use out of.
$450

And strangly enough, these beautiful oxfords would quirk up any outfit, from jeans and a crisp shirt or a cute a-line skirt...plus im a sucker for leopard print!
