bold blast

I've been trying to be a bit bolder with colour lately; resuscitating my black and grey wardrobe has been no mean feat.

My favourite for this has come from Californian beauty/blogger Emily, from cupcakesandcashmere...her brave clashes of colour have me utterly inspired!

Diptyque

I've spent this past week moving out of the parent's house (again) and in to my new abode in the inner city suburb of Elwood, so my inner interior decorator has been on high alert.

I'm currently lusting over the entire Diptyque range, with their exotic-scented perfumes and names I'm trying my best to pronounce.

They also have the most beautiful packaging that would make a great addition to my interior scheme.

Horticulture Heaven

The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is a staple event on Melbourne's abounding calendar and one that I was yet to attend.

But in the wake of our rental application, I am now in home-maker mood and instantly jumped on mum's suggestion that we head in. The weather (for once) was spectacular and provided the most glorious backdrop to the walker-filled, fragrance feast that was MIFGS 2011.

As the photos probably demonstrate, I have a love of roses, cacti and succulents...a weird combo I know. Im sure Jonno is pretty scared our apartment is soon going to resemble the Mexican desert.
