London has been a great way to start our trip- the atmosphere, the big city feel and the shopping have all drawn me in
In the middle of our hellish flight over we had a stop off in malaysia and came across this incredible lolly stand...alas we did not purchase any, which we would later come to regret as we started to starve on our next leg (thanks airasia for the lack of water!)
Of course the first thing we set off to do was shop ( due to the Mr's apparent lack of interest in sightseeing), so i dragged him to Harrod, whos decadence still impresses me- full size lion statues and Egyptian sculptures and that food hall is incredible!
Our hostel, The Astor Victoria, was a nice place to start...though the 9 flights of stairs to our room burnt the thighs! Breakfast was good, though a lack of lounge space made it a bit awkward (crashing a staff gathering for a seat wasnt completely comfortable)
Overall a 7 out of 10
The parks and gardens have been one of my favourite things about london (besides the shopping of course)

The colours and variety of flowers and trees makes Melbourne Botanic gardens look like a festering swamp
Sunday was spent at the Camden Market, where goths rule and the smells of the delicious market food fill the air.
Not the variety of good i had hoped for, but worth going to non the less
Finished off our stay in the south west town of Richmond on Thames- apparently Mick Jagger lives here but i am yet to spot his shaggy mane.
Can only put a couple of purchases to my name (cant spend too much yet!)
- H&M leopard print playsuit
- TopShop american flag shorts
Zara and AllSaints will definitely get another visit when we return later in the year!
Pics to come!
