The Mother Land

Not only is it Alexa looking breezy-chic, but how great is her room!

Exposed brick, fairy lights and a grand old union jack to bring it all together

Sunday delights

There's nothing better than spending a chilly Sunday afternoon (after a relaxing facial and warming bowl of soup) than stalking the homes and interiors of the rich and creative

This magnificent and lively abode is that of British designer Abigail Ahern, as photographed by The Selby (theselby.com)

I aspire to have a place that exudes cheeky but stylish charm, and love how she has almost brought the outside in (what a magnificent vine-covered wall)

And who could resist that cheeky pooch's face!

home zoo

I'd like to thank all the little baby cheeses around the world for i have finally landed myself a full time job! It may not be my dream job just yet, but it's a start...and everyone has to start somewhere

As a result I have now made a list of various goods to decorate my house with, c/o rawspace.com.au and haveyoumetmissjones.com.au

And yes, I do realise that together all these objects would result in my house resembling some deranged ceramic petting zoo, but it's the inspiration that counts!

Discover a different NYC

I wanted to share my latest book purchase- the gorgeous "Stylist's Guide to New York" by Sibella Court

Hilariously, I ordered this book online a couple of weeks ago, then mum received it as well for her birthday on the weekend by a very like-minded friend- at least we both have a copy now and she doesn't steal mine!

This gorgeous piece of non-fiction tracks this interior stylist's favourite NYC haunts for all things weird, wacky and beautiful. Discover where to get all the best flowers, vintage furniture, one-of-a-kind material or that paper mache skull you'd been searching high and low for.

And I'm shattered that this wasn't around when i was over there (but to be honest, if id tried to fit in all her city loops alongside my fashion hunting, I would never have gone to bed!)

I can't wait to go back to the states next year and discover all these amazing city landmarks!
