Skippy Day

Just a couple of snaps from the week as it has been so far...tuesday was spent helping out mum who's just had an operation

...and of course yesterday was spent sipping cider, throwing frisbees and catching up with old friends in celebration of Australia Day

and as always happens, the dress ups made it out somehow...

Monday funday

This week started off great (slightly going downhill after that) with a expedition in to Melbourne to meet my beautiful friend Laura.

As is always the way, I forgot my camera, but camera phones come in handy and we scrounged up a couple of shots...

Including this one of the worlds smallest adult jeans, found at Somewhere, by Dr Denim...yikes!

I have also fallen in love with this gorgeous range of lace-ups/desert boots found at my favourite store, Zomp.

By Anniel, they are made of the softest leather and come in a range of textures, from perforated to leopard print pony hair...delicious!

The Humidity Bubble

Have had a couple of days off in a row, which have been spent relaxing and trying to figure out the best way to approach this job finding expedition.

The weather in Melbourne has been awfully humid and very un-like Melbourne, so opting for anything lightweight has been the way to go in today's clothing stakes.

I picked up this cute One Teaspoon dress yesterday when I was just meant to be getting an eyebrow wax (whoops)...and followed it by spending more money on Asos when I got home!

Hat was a necessary addition to protect my frizz-prone hair, and these are my favourite shoes I own- great height, comfy and a makes me feel a little more edgy than I actually am!

Spa Sensations

I've been involved in the day spa industry for some time now and have been lucky enough to experiment and play with some amazing products over the years.

So I thought I'd share my top 3 skincare products of all time- it has not been an easy task narrowing down so many items, as many of them work so well together to produce fantastic results.

But this list is purely products that stand-out from the rest, based on effective, consistent results and value for money.

#1 Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant

No retail product, for me, has come close to producing such instantly noticeable results as this exfoliant. The lactic acid and combination of A, C and E vitamins produce both a powerful physical (granular) and chemical scrub, that warms on contact with the skin.
Skin looks fresh, youthful and bright again. Brilliant!

#2 Endota Organic Rosehip Oil

Producing the same effects as $100 eye creams, this organic oil renews the skin, plumps up fine lines and wrinkles and reduces the appearance of scars.
Packed with Vitamin C, this rich earthy oil helps renew and regenerate tired lacklustre skin cells

#3 Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel

I've found this works fantastically, not only as a spot clearing treatment but as a wonderful treatment for those nasty ingrowns that pop up post-waxing treatment. Fantastic for those still experiencing that annoying monthly friend that should have left after you hit your 20s, and also for any congestion that may occur.

Honourable mentions go to:
Thalgo Reviving Mist: great pep-me-up for tired stressed skin
Dermalogica Multi-active power regeneration mask: brightening, youthful excellence

Ok, so I'm a little addicted to Dermalogica but it has treated me so well after all these years that I just can't say no!

Hats marvellous!

In recent times i've developed a strong love for hats of all shapes and sizes...

When I next get out to the shops I will be on the hunt for a wide-brimmed beauty like this one from Rage and Bone!

Kym Ellery

Ah, Kym Ellery...the epitome of cool, the girl who turns heads without even trying

It also doesn't hurt that she also creates a lust-worthy clothing line...lust-worthy in that I could never afford some of her pieces

Though it is still nice to admire from afar her attention to detail, daring silhouettes and bold use of colour and embellishment

But it was particularly this image from my favourite French blogger Garance Doré that caught my attention...because I want that skirt!

And I have found it on the Grand Social website, but it is also, alas, out of my price range (especially in my current financial situation)...so im hoping out there in the land of the bargain there will be a beautiful, textured skirt that I can wear with some great ts I picked up from Marc Jacobs in LA...

Hopefully updates to follow!
